  1. Where can I download LayoutFAST?

    You can download LayoutFAST here : http://bim-schneider-electric.com/layoutfast

  2. With which Revit version is layoutFAST compatible?

    LayoutFAST is compatible with Revit 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018

  3. With which Windows version is LayoutFAST compatible?

    LayoutFAST is compatible with Windows XP, Vista, 7, 8, 10 64bits

  4. I need help how can I contact you?

  5. Why can't I install LayoutFAST?

    LayoutFAST works only on 64bits machine, please make sure that your machine fulfill the requirements.

  6. Do I need to install the app for each version of Revit? Or just one time for all versions?

    You install the app only once. Once installed the app will be available in each Revit Version that you have installed on your computer.

  7. Do working clearances change automatically based on selected voltage?

    Not at this time

  8. What are the typical file size for some of the families?

    It varies between 300kb abd 500kb on average

  9. Will this coordinate the data information with QuoteFast?

    We are working on the integration with quotefast

  10. Are these families hosted or unhosted?

    So far the families are hosted, we are working on unhosted families

  11. Are the RFA's saved on a local hard drive? Or they only on the cloud?

    The RFA are stored locally but are updated from the cloud.

  12. Can the product cut sheets be dwonloaded so that I can show them to my clients?

    Yes. Your can print cut sheets to pdf.

  13. Do I have to login to access the app?

    Yes, the app requires you to log in, if you want to log in with a different account just click on logout and sign in with your account

  14. Will your app work with AutoCAD 3D?

    We are working on it

  15. How does the busway feature work?

    Just like the native cable tray feature of Revit

  16. If my project is circuited, and I need a larger transformer and/or panelboard and have to reload the family through layoutfast, do I lose my circuits?

    No you don't lose your circuits

  17. How do I hide the working clearances?

    There are two ways, a parameter inside the RFA label "Clearance Area" or visiblbilty setting for Electrical Equipment label "Clearance Area".

  18. Is Revit MEP required to use this app properly? Or is normal Revit enough?

    Revit MEP is required

  19. Will this app work with Revit LT?

    yes it will

  20. Is there any data lost when versions of layout are removed and reinstalled for latest Revit versions?

    No there isn't

  21. If I am working on a project in 2015 and a couple months later we upgrade the project to 2016. I uninstall and reinstall the app. Will the 2016 content still communicate its information to the selections I have made from when it was in 2015?

    Yes

  22. Did Schneider Electric consider developing it's own BIM software rather than trying to fill the gaping holes Autodesk left in Revit?

    No

  23. Are the switchboards nested families?

    No, each section is a standalone RFA.
